STILL NOT SURE?

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: Can the menu be edited for Allergies, Intolerances or Cultural requirements?

Most menu items can be adjusted to ensure all students can participate in the activity - regardless of their food requirements.

Question 2: Can we request a specific menu item?

In most cases - yes. We are often surprised by the requests and love creating a menu that engages with your students.

Question 3: How far ahead do we need to book?

We are often booked several months ahead. However if you require a workshop in a short period of time, reach out to our team to see if we have a team available.

Question 4: What resources do we need to provide?

Okay - we're working with kids and food - it's going to be messy!

We can work in a classroom, COLA, hall. The criteria we need is:

  • Undercover

  • Hard floor - you'll thank us later.

  • Tables so that each child has a workspace.

  • Access to a tap.

  • Disability access - we bring several tubs on a trolley, so we need to be able to move these without having to navigate stairs.

Question 5: What ages do you work with?

Ages 5-12 are the main ages that our team works with, however we often send a team to a child care centre and Youth centres.

Question 6: How Many Team members attend a Workshop Session?

The Mini Cook Workshop only requires one team member to attend. They will arrive at least one hour prior to the first workshop to set up.

The Junior Cook Workshop requires more than one team member to assist. Additional staff can be included at $300 for the sessions, however this can be waived if you are able to provide support for our Presenter in the way of one of your staff members or a couple of older students.
